Healing yourself.
I found the very best place to start is with our attitude. Have you heard the old saying "Fake It Until You Make It"?
When you feel frustrated alone, lost, confused, worried and depressed. Often, this feeling comes from fear. The fear of the outcome and the changes the outcome is going to make to your life.
Another saying my parents would say to me. "Don't be resentful, be resourceful". "You cannot fix or change anyone but yourself".
My recommendation to you is to start with a gratitude diary. When you build good resourcefulness habits, life changes. One step at a time.

Manfulness
Do unto others as you want them to do unto you. But do it first. Respect that they may see or feel differently about issues. The only thought patterns you get to over ride our your children. Then later in life they may actually prove you wrong.
Correct yourself when you misbehave, Never, ever be rude or unkind to another. If you disagree say so. Never ever challenge them. Explain, that you chose to “Agree To Disagree” and ask for them to respect that. You are you and they are they. Happiness in all its forms is a journey of good communication skills coupled with unconditional love.
